In their debut season, the Albis navigated the choppy waters of the league with admirable skill, finishing with a record of 16-13-1 for 49 points and 5th place — barely missing a Top 4 finish in their first season. While still finding their sea legs, it was clear Andover FC was a team to watch.
The Albis had truly hit their stride. Their record improved to 21-16-1, propelling them to a 3rd place finish with 64 points — their first foray into the top 4 and a significant achievement for a young team.
Andover spent the season as the league's master of the near miss — rarely buried, rarely in full command, constantly close enough to make everyone nervous. The final month was a perfect summary: they lost ground, then surged with a string of narrow victories, beating NELA, Bramley, Joe Lewis, and Trey Burton Ernie to keep the dream alive. On the final day they beat Bramley again, knocking the Devils out of the top four — but Andover finished fifth themselves, painfully close, yet still outside.
Andover's season was a festival of what-ifs, bench regrets, and sudden bursts of elite form that arrived just late or unevenly enough to keep them from the Top 4. Early points left on the bench cost them results against Santa Monica and Joe Lewis Stock Tips. Then came the surge: a six-match winning streak from Gameweek 13 beating Devilishly Seagulls, Trey Burton Ernie, Santa Monica, Chickn Tikka MoSalah, and Joe Lewis. But a Gameweek 35 loss to Devilishly Seagulls in a crucial six-pointer ended their Top 4 hopes for good. They had the pieces, the streak, and the upset power — what they lacked was the clean season required to make it matter. The inaugural Monster Energy Mango Loco Cup brought a similarly frustrating group-stage exit, finishing 10th.
Andover are one of the league's great almost-logical teams. Their all-time record is strong: 78-64-2, 236 league points, one top-four finish, and 36.19 PPG — third in total league points among active clubs. They hold winning records over Bramley, NELA, Osborn, Sharks (13-5), Trey Burton Ernie (12-4), and Joe Lewis. But they trail Seagulls, Chickn Tikka MoSalah, Elgin, Santa Monica, and West Adams (5-13) — the head-to-head map skews tougher than the trophy case suggests. The road ahead is about discipline: fewer what-ifs, more cold execution.
